Magsafe became a trending word since Apple first introduced it dating back to last year on iPhone 12 series debut.
All kinds of magnetic wireless battery charger flood this market, now let’s talk about what’s magsafe.
So What Is MagSafe?
For those hard-cored apple produts fans, they seem to get familar of this feature. Magsafe technology works in a way that a ring of internal magnets encircling a Qi wireless charging coil on the back of each iPhone 12 model which enables iPhone 12 snaps on portable wireless phone charger. The very recently iPhone 13 continues this amazing feature. The magsafe technology serves for two purposes: make it easier to properly align the charging coils between the phone and a compatible wireless charging pad so that to reduce energy loss at its best, and to make it easier to attach magnetic wireless battery charger to the back of the iPhone.
Yet apple did not launch its official magsafe battery pack until a few months ago. Many people found it fail to their expectation. The apple portable wireless phone charger has low capacity of 1440mah, quite lower most current magsafe power bank, and it costs double than other. An underperformance product as people deem it .
But I have to mention that they’re comparatively smaller in size, as small as iPhone 12 mini and slim, and that’s why it explains its lower capacity.
There are many magnetic wireless battery charger outperformancing apple magsafe power bank , like Anker’s PowerCore, iWALK magsafe battery pack 20000mAh.
I have gone through probably half a dozen different portable wireless phone charger from several different brands, and this 20000mAh battery pack has me the most impressed simply due to its MagSafe integration. I love how effortlessly it is to snap on my iPhone and not have to worry about wires or cables. The magnetic connection is strong and I never had any doubts my iPhone would fall off or come loose from this magnetic wireless battery charger. It has a huge capacity (20000 mah) and is more than enough to charge any iPhone 12 multiple times over. In addition to that, this portable wireless phone charger comes with a few ports (2 USB-A and 1 USB-C) that allows you to charge multiple devices all at once.
Even if you don’t have an iPhone 12, this iWALK magnetic wireless battery charger comes with a couple of handy cutouts for several different iPhones as well as a magnetic plate for you to place on your phone to give it that MagSafe functionality.
In terms of downsides, I have to say it’s a little bulkier and plastic-y feeling compared to other similarly rated portable wireless phone charger, and the little stand is useful, but admittedly a little flimsy and cheap feeling, but it hasn’t broken on me yet and I’ve used the stand almost daily since I’ve received this item. What’s more, cost half of apple magsafe battery pack, so I can not exepct more from that.
